KUCHING: Ismaco Jimisar Group, via its subsidiaries Jimisar Autotrade Sdn Bhd (Jimisar Autotrade) and Ismaco Automotive Sdn Bhd (Ismaco Automotive), will be showcasing vehicles respectively at the upcoming Sarawak Builders’ Expo (Sarbex) 2011 Total Living at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK).
Organised by the Sarawak Housing and Real Estate Developers’ Association (Sheda), the property and construction solutions expo would see Mitsubishi and Volkswagen models being displayed at two different concourses respectively at the BCCK from September 30 to October 2.
Jimisar Autotrade executive director Mariana Ismail explained to The Borneo Post that Jimisar Autotrade was currently the biggest independent Mitsubishi dealer in Sarawak, having received dealership rights and starting up in Kuching (2008) and opening up branches in Sri Aman (2009) and Sibu (2010).
With regards to Mitsubishi, Jimisar Autotrade would be featuring the top selling Triton series of pickup trucks, the ASX the newly launched Pajero Sport VGT which had received a lot of interest and attention since its introduction here.
Mariana elaborated, “Mitsubishi Motor Malaysia is giving away promotion offers and Jimisar Autotrade is planning to have promotions for on-the-spot bookings during the event.
“Mitsubishi has a very good potential in Sarawak mainly because the product range really suits our lifestyle and our terrain as we love to travel by road.
“We have opened three branches over the years as we feel that this brand would be very big in the next five years,” she emphasised.
Meanwhile, Ismaco Automotive, the sole dealer for Volkswagen in Sarawak, would be showcasing the Polo 1.2 TSI and the Golf 1.2 near the main entrance of the BCCK, heralding the dealership’s full operations at its showroom located at Jalan Batu Lintang.
Both models would come with a five-year unlimited mileage warranty, five year roadside assistance programme as with all Volkswagen vehicles available from the company.
In addition, prospective Volkswagen buyers could opt for the lower subsidised hire purchase rates by Affin Bank for automotive financing.
The Volkswagen Kuching showroom, while operational and open for business, had not been officially launched yet as it had been postponed to coincide with new model launchings from Volkswagen Group Malaysia later this year.
