KUCHING: Construction player, BBC Construction Sdn Bhd (BBC Construction) is banking on its participation in the Sarawak Builders Expo (Sarbex) Total Living 2011 to reveal its latest construction works.

Among the projects that are launched during the expo are the 16 units extra-large double-storey semi-detached houses at Taman Putrajaya Phase 5 and 6 of which eight units left for grab.

In addition, it is also showcasing its 20 units of three-storey shophouses at Sibiyu Jaya (Phase 3) where take-up rate has been trending at a fast pace with only six units left available.

Other properties in line for the exhibition patrons were the 51 units of three-storey commercial shophouses at KIE Commercial Centre and its 99 units of double storey terrace and 34 units of double storey semi-detached at Nyabau Height.

The 24 units of Industrial building at Nyabau Industrial Park and the 24 units Super Deluxe double storey semi-detached houses at Starhill are also showcased during the fair.

According to managing director of BBC Construction, Yek Nai Kwong, Sarbex was a good platform to promote and introduce its array of properties to interested home-owners and had taken on this exhibition as a medium to market its residential houses and shophouses.

“We hope to target consumers who wish to buy houses or invest in properties in Bintulu as the city is currently expanding at a rapid pace, with lucrative rental return and has a fast capital appreciation,” reveled Lau.

Indeed, the property market in Bintulu has witnessed a vibrant growth where new launches were snapped up fast.

The property market as reported in the Sarawak Property Bulletin by C H Williams Talhar Wong & Yeo has been hot with prices of terraced houses in prime locales now almost on par with Kuching. Prices for these residents had gone up to about RM350,000 to RM380,000 per unit.

Most of the housing developments were concentrated at Jalan Tun Hussein Onn and Jalan Sungai Sibiyu.

On the company front, BBC Construction was established in 1992. Its overall development has been concentrated in the construction of residential houses, industrial buildings, shophouses, apartments, flats, government contracts on high-rise buildings, petrol station and roads.

The group’s expertise as Lau highlighted lie in in real properties, developers, civil and building contractors.

Amongst the projects that have been completed by the group were the construction and completion of its 20 units three-storey shophouses, 24 units double-storey semi-detached industrial building and one unit double storey detached industrial building in Kemena Land District, Bintulu.

Interested home-buyers can visit the group’s booth during the Sarbex exhibition organised by Sarawak Housing and Real Estate Developer Association at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching.
