Personal motto All things are possible with God’s blessings

1) What do you like about your studies?

I am enjoying every bit of my life being a student. I am blessed to have the privilege to pursue my studies abroad, glory to God and a big thanks to my family, it’s an indescribable experience. Being in a culturally diverse university I get to make new friends from all across the globe. It provides a contingency of personal growth and widens my intellectual, cultural and social prospects.

2) How are you preparing for Miss Borneo Beautiful in November?

Firstly, I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Alaric Soh for giving me such an amazing opportunity to be part of MBB 2011.

I have been consistently on a body tone workout plan and routine to build confidence and self-esteem. Currently, we (MBB finalists) are undergoing an intensive skill development program to sculpt us to be the next MBB 2011.

The programme includes stage presence, catwalk, media relations, cosmetic enhancement and interview techniques. Besides that, I have been educating myself to understand how the industry works by reading motivational books, articles and guides. I am taking one step at a time and progressing well to attain other important skills and knowledge for personal development.

3) What qualities define MBB?

I could not agree more with Miss Bahamas 2006 comments on the beauty queen’s qualities when she said that “one must understand that it is her duty to use her physical beauty and also intelligence as a platform for the betterment of others”

Some might not, but I do believe in ‘Beauty with Brains’. In my opinion, to be crowned as an ambassador of MBB2011, her personality must be parallel with her physical attractiveness. It is not just a title, but portrays her as a role model to inspire others and society by her achievements.

4) Do you have a message to other MBB contestants?

I would like to congratulate all the MBB2011 finalists and best of luck for the Finale. And have fun!

5) What skills/talents do you have that will make you stand out in the competition?

Being myself and one word: perseverance.

6) What would it mean for you to win Miss BB?

It is an achievement indeed. It is all about passion for pageantry with purpose, beauty with intelligence!

7) Who has inspired you most in your life?

My family, particularly my parents, are the biggest influence in my life. Without their support and love, I would not be able to stand among the 17 finalists.

8) What makes your hometown special?

I was born in Miri but grew up in Kuching. Nevertheless, both cities are very special to me. Besides being the second largest city in Sarawak, Miri is also famous for its petroleum industry, which remains the major industry of the city. Lately it has become known for its exotic coral reefs  and tourism aspects such as Mount Mulu, Niah and Loagan Bunut National Park.
