WELL-SKILLED: A nursing student going through practical training.

KUCHING: I-Systems College Kuching nursing students undergoing their clinical attachments at local hospitals have received praise for their clinical skills and caring attitude.

Positive feedback have been received from hospital staff as well as the public.

“I am very impressed with the capabilities and dedication of the nursing students of I-Systems College while they were tending to my sister,” said Jane Lee, who was visiting her sister at the Sarawak General Hospital.

“For a moment there, I had almost mistaken them for hospital staff nurses until I noticed their uniforms bearing the I-Systems College logo.”

The college’s maiden batch of 42 nursing students will graduate soon.

They are now back at the college for revision and will sit for their final semester exams next month.

I-Systems Colleges Kuching is still accepting students for its Diploma in Nursing course for the December 2011, May and September 2012 intakes.

The Diploma in Nursing is a three-year programme designed to cater to the local and worldwide shortage of professionally trained nurses.

Nursing is a noble healthcare profession, which offers very high job stability and allows practitioners to truly have an impact on the lives of those in need.

The college is pleased to note that its nursing students are highly rated by both public and private hospitals in East Malaysia.

Students who have completed this programme will be fully exposed to professional nursing knowledge and skills, which they can apply in the near-future whether they decide to further their nursing education or join the healthcare workforce in public or private hospitals or specialised healthcare centres.

I-Systems Group of Colleges also has campuses in Miri, Klang, Johor Bahru, Bukit Mertajam, and will open a new campus in Kota Kinabalu early next year.
