Popular to unveil most impressive outlet at Tun Jugah

KUCHING: Popular Malaysia will unveil its most impressive outlet in Sarawak, the Popular @ Tun Jugah Centre on Nov 3.

The full-scale expansion saw renovation begin in early August and the outlet had its soft re-opening on Sept 23.

With its expansion, Popular @ Tun Jugah Centre has doubled its floor space from the existing 5,000 square feet to 12,000 square feet and occupies the entire Level Three of Tun Jugah  Centre.

In conjunction with its grand opening, Popular @ Tun Jugah Centre has arranged an array of authors from both local and overseas to make their appearance throughout the opening promotion period from Nov 3 to Dec 4.

There would be insightful sharing and interactive sessions between authors and visitors, said Popular Book Co (M) Sdn Bhd area manager of East Malaysia Edmund Low.

Children can look forward to participate in the Robin ‘Puss in Boots’ Colouring Competition on Nov 5 from 4pm to 6.30pm to win attractive prizes.

“For the first time in Kuching, Marianna Pascal, the best-selling author of English Fast & Easy and English Fast & Easy 2 will make her debut appearance in Popular @ Tun Jugah Centre.

“Besides that, Popular has also organised a special day   themed ‘My Fortune, My Way’ gathering professional experts from the finance and marketing sectors to share tips and secrets on ways to improve busines and achieve financial freedom.

“Experts such as Long Yun Siang, Dechen Lau and Andrew Chia are some of the industry gurus not to be missed,” said Low at a press tour yesterday.

On top of that, famous local comic artistes Keith and Kaoru from Gempak Starz will have an autograph session where fans can meet them in person and even get their Gempak Starz comics autographed.

In addition, Popular has also arranged for the first ever Cook-Out Day on the Nov 13 following its continuing success in West Malaysia. Famous chefs and nutritionist will be invited to show off their best culinary skills by demonstrating easy-to-make, lip-smacking yet healthy local cuisines.

The icing on the cake will be the appearance of famous international speaker Wu Juan Yu, who will share some interesting stories from her book.

Also making their appearances are Taiwan’s famous horoscope geomancers Tiffany and Lin Xin Di who will share about the essence of relationship building, communication and healthy eating lifestyle.

Throughout the Grand Opening period, customers will be able to enjoy a RM2 flat parking rate with every purchase of RM50 in a single receipt.

This allows customers to spend more time in Popular @ Tun Jugah Centre without any worries of paying high parking rates, said Low.
