LUNDU: PSKPP Lundu emerged as champion after defeating Sebat FC 3-2 in the ‘Tan Sri Adenan Satem Cup’ final at Lundu Mini Stadium last Sunday.
Bini Anggut, Bolhi Bujang and Jimmy Tindin were the toast of PSKPP Lundu when they hit the net in the 11th, 16th and 51th minute. Meanwhile, the goals for Sebat FC were contributed by Patrick Empeni and Fendi Abd Rahman in the 20th, 64th minute.
Political secretary to the chief minister Bujang Helmi Hazmi who represented Special Affairs Minister Tan Sri Datuk Amar Adenan Satem congratulated both teams for displaying an entertaining game.
As winners PSKPP Lundu and Sebat FC took away cash RM3,000 and RM2,000 respectively.
They also received teams’ trophies and medals.
In an earlier match Sileng FC finished third when they beat Perumahan FC 2-0. The top scorer of the tournament, scoring five goals was awarded to Binin Anggut from PSKPP Lundu while Haslan Wasli (Sebat FC) was adjudged as the best player.
Also present at the final were Lundu district officer Azmi Bujang and Pemanca Bujang.
