Undergrads must be rational and open-minded — Adnan

BENTONG: Undergraduates in the country must be rational and have an open mind about accepting everything being conveyed to them, advised Pahang Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Adnan Yaakob.

“You should not necessarily be thinking too critically, on the other hand, you must consider whether the issues and matters thrown at you are reasonable,” he said while launching a community health sevice programme organised jointly by Universiti Institut Teknologi Mara undergraduates and Yayasan Bank Rakyat at Simpang Pelangai here yesterday.

He said being potential leaders of the future, they must be smart and rational in the way they viewed the various issues in the country.

Meanwhile, Adnan, who is also Pelangai assemblyman, encouraged undergraduates to involve themselves in community activities which could help them to understand issues and problems facing the people.

On undergraduates being allowed to participate in politics, he hoped it would not affect their studies and education. — Bernama
