KUCHING: An underage girl lodged a police report claiming she was raped by her father at a cemetery in Pending.
The allegation came to light after the 16-year-old victim from Kampung Tabuan Tengah related the incident to her mother, who brought her to Simpang Tiga Police Station.
A source disclosed the victim initially kept quiet about the alleged rape, which occurred around 2am on Thursday, as she feared her father. It was also claimed that he had previously tried to sexually assault his eldest daughter.
Meanwhile, the victim was sent to the Sarawak General Hospital to undergo a medical checkup yesterday.
Police are investigating.
