WAITING TO BE RESCUED: Firemen have to force open the passenger’s door in the rescue.
MIRI: A man and his friend sustained light injuries after a Honda they were travelling in skidded and rammed into a big tree near Miri Taman Awam early yesterday.
The two friends were on their way home and heading towards Airport road from the city centre at about 4am.
It took some five minutes for firemen from the Miri Fire station to prise open the passenger’s door to rescue the man.
Both victims, in their 30’s, were rushed to Miri Hospital for treatment. They sustained injuries to their bodies.
