KUCHING: Established over 22 years, Mew Yeh Nursery is renowned for growing good quality seedlings as exmplified by the 2011 Mew Yeh Nursery Durian Banquet and Charity.
The event was graced by Sarawak Head of State, Tun Datuk Patinggi Abang Muhammad Salahuddin Abang Barieng and wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Norkiah, as well as Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Dr George Chan and wife Datuk Lorna Muloon Enan.
Dignitaries including Assistant Minister of Youth Development Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, Padawan Municipal Council’s (MPP) chairman Lo Khere Chiang and Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Batu Kawah chairman Datuk Ahmad Ibrahim were among those who joined the durian banquet.
Other VIP guests who attended the event were Social Development Minister Tan Sri William Mawan Ikom, Deputy Works Minister Datuk Yong Khoon Seng, Datuk Wee Hong See, Datuk Alfred Yap, Datuk Sim Swee Yong, Datuk Sim Swee Liang, Datuk Bong Kim Shim, Tan Joo Phoi, Lung Chia Pin chairman Seree Fun and Angela Ng as well as others who enjoyed the great taste of durians.
