Posted on December 15, 2011, Thursday

INTERACTIVE: Participants at the Limkokwing Creative Workshops will be able to have direct interaction with lecturers who are ready to share their knowledge in the creative field.

KUCHING: A series of exciting, interactive and innovative workshops is scheduled to run for two consecutive days beginning today from 2pm to 5pm at Limkokwing College University here.

The workshops will focus on diverse areas ranging from design, fine arts and interior design.

Participants will be able to interact directly with the lecturers who are ready to share their knowledge and experiences.

The first workshop to be featured is on life drawing, which is organised by the Faculty of Design Innovation.

This workshop aims to introduce participants to the fundamental aspects of drawing and will expose them to the technical know-how of drawing such as hand-eye coordination and proportional judgment.

Students who have an interest in creating models and handicraft can look forward to a stimulating session with the interior design lecturers as they guide participants in fashioning Christmas themed ornaments to tie in with the Christmas season.

This workshop, which is the brainchild of the Faculty of Architecture and Build Environment, will be held on Dec 16.

Parents and students alike can also anticipate the two final year project exhibitions that will feature the works of students who are currently undergoing the Anglia Ruskin University Degree programmes in Graphic Design and Computer Science.

Students with a passion for arts will be able to see firsthand the creative works of their seniors as well as gain a better understanding on the various aspects of graphic design in terms of research, project development and tying their projects in with the needs of the industry.

The exhibitions will run throughout the entire duration of the Info Day.

At the Limkokwing Borneo Info Day, SPM and STPM school leavers are provided with vast opportunities to find out more about courses best suited for them and eventually select a programme that will help them clear the path towards the right career options.

Potential students who are keen on studying with the college university will not only be subjected to Limkokwing courses.

Alternatively, they can sign up for the Anglia Ruskin University’s British degree programmes, which are fully delivered at the Kuching campus.

Upon completion of their Foundation and Diploma courses, students can opt to do their degree programmes at the Limkokwing University campus in Cyberjaya or in London.

They also have the option of spending a semester abroad or at any of the 12 campuses across three continents.
