KUCHING: A woman, in her 30s, has been arrested by police for suspicion of forcing a teenage girl into prostitution.
The suspect was nabbed by police personnel shortly after midnight yesterday at a low cost housing estate in BDC here. It was alleged that she had illegally confined a 16-year-old girl from Dec 14 to 16. The girl was believed to be from Batu Kawah.
It was also alleged that she had drugged the victim and forced her to work as a prostitute.
The girl managed to escape on Dec 16 and related her ordeal to her mother, who immediately lodged a police report.
