KOTA SAMARAHAN: The first ever 2012 Facebook Golf Competition that was held at Sarawak Club Golf Resort here yesterday saw 112 golfers, most of them active Facebook users, take part.

According to the organiser of the competition, the golf competition was held to strengthen the relationship among local golf enthusiasts who are active Facebook users and as a get together activity in conjunction with the New Year.

The flood victims at Sadong Jaya were also not forgotten as the participants took the opportunity during the event to donate RM1,695 cash and clothing to the flood victims.

Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation Datuk Fadillah Yusof, who also took part in the competition, graced the event. Semop assemblyman Abdullah Saidol and Sadong Jaya assemblyman Aidil Lariwoo were also present.
