MIRI: An engineer with a foreign oil and gas company lost more than a thousand Brunei dollars and other possessions when his car, which was parked at a petrol kiosk at Jalan Merbau, was broken into on Saturday.
Before the incident, the victim, in his early 50s, had gone out with his friends, and on his way home he decided to park his car at the petrol kiosk for a nap as it was already 1am.
But when he woke up at about 6am, he noticed that his laptop, cash, passport and few important documents had been stolen.
He immediately went to lodge a police report at the Miri Central Police station (CPS).
According to sources, the CCTV of the petrol kiosk showed that the thief could be a motorcyclist.
