KUCHING: Sarawak Skills Development Centre, or better known as PPKS, is a local training institution that is highly passionate about building skilful workforce in order to meet the ever-challenging demands of the industries.

Working closely with industry players to support the needs of the state government, PPKS strives to bring innovation in delivering new and current approaches for technical and vocational training efforts, comprising academic and hands-on elements to ensure a more realistic blueprint.

PPKS is committed towards producing a highly skilful and competent workforce for the industries and Sarawak as a whole, by designing, developing and delivering training programmes in both the technical and soft skilled areas that meet the real requirements of the industries.

With its pool of qualified and certified trainers who have vast field experiences in the respective industries, PPKS’ skills development training programmes will be able to cater to any organisation’s specific needs.

Covering a wide spectrum of courses from Safety and Health programs to Mechanical Drafting and from Communication Skills to Financial Management, PPKS has the physical and infrastructure capacity, facilities and human capital to ensure that the organisation’s training needs are covered and met.

As a registered training provider with Pembangunan Sumber Manusia Bhd (PSMB) and the approved training provider for SMECorp Malaysia in Sarawak, organisations, which are registered and contribute to PSMB Fund, may claim their course fees accordingly when they join PPKS’ training programmes.

Small Medium Industries will be able to enjoy funding of up to 70 per cent on the course fees from SMECorp Malaysia training grant.

PPKS invites corporations and organisations to fully utilise the availability of these facilities to train and retrain their staff.
