KOTA KINABALU: Police have arrested an illegal immigrant for possessing 25.5 grams of syabu.
City police chief ACP Ahmad Sofi Zakaria said the arrest was made at Kampung Tatah, Inanam on Jan 15 at 9.15pm after police found two plastic packets of substance believed to be syabu in the suspect’s possession.
The drugs, weighing 25.5 grams are believed valued at RM7,600, said Sofi.
Police also believe the 24-year-old suspect is a drug pusher and addict, after his urine tested positive for drug abuse.
The suspect has been remanded for investigation under Section 39A (1) and Section 15 (1) (a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
