MIRI: Barisan Nasional (BN) has mobilised all its machinery and departments to ensure the effective distribution of 1Malaysia People’s Assistance (BR1M).
Member of Parliament for Sibuti, Ahmad Lai Bujang, said such commitment was part of the government’s efforts to make sure that the cash assistance really reached the targeted people.
“In the distribution of BR1M, we can see all the relevant agencies working closely to ensure the programme becomes a real success,” he stated in his address when officiating at the presentation of BR1M cash vouchers at Batu Niah yesterday.
According to him, BR1M was one of the welfare programmes implemented by the BN government as it always had the people’s welfare at heart, for which the people should be grateful.
Assistant Minister of Early Childhood Education and Family Development Rosey Yunus and Miri Resident Antonio Kahti Galis were present. A total of 900 recipients received their cash vouchers during the function.
Similar distributions had been conducted at Bekenu, Sepupok Community Hall (Niah) and Lambir Community Hall.
