TAWAU: Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman said yesterday the Barisan Nasional (BN) government will not forget the mandate given to the coalition by the people at every general election.

“Be it at state or federal level, we will use the mandate to implement various programmes and policies for the benefit and well-being of the people irrespective of race and religious beliefs,” he said in his address at the Chinese New Year “open house” at the home of Gerakan vice-president Tan Sri Liew Yun Fah, here.

Musa reminded the people of the importance of maintaining the existing unity, saying that if the people are united, more programmes can be implemented for their benefit.

On water woes faced by residents here, he urged the Sabah Water Department to look into the matter and resolve the issue.

Earlier, Musa attended a Chinese New Year “open house” organised by the Sri Tanjung and Apas divisions of Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS).

Also present were PBS president Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan and deputy president Datuk Dr Maximus Ongkili. — Bernama
