MIRI: Housebreakers stole cash and valuables worth over RM10,000 from a reporter on Wednesday.
The 35-year-old single mother said the thieves took over RM300 in ang pow money and three gold necklaces.
She discovered the break-in when she returned to her single-storey terraced house around 8pm.
“I was shocked to see all of my clothes, which I kept in a cabinet in one of the rooms, scattered all over the floor,” she said.
She said the thieves probably entered her house via the back door on Wednesday afternoon, while she was at work.
“That day (Wednesday morning) I was preparing to send my only daughter to school and as I was in a hurry. I forgot to lock the padlock,” she said.
