Posted on February 7, 2012, Tuesday

KUCHING: A four-wheel-drive (4WD) vehicle belonging to a lawyer was reported missing outside a church at Jalan Laksamana Cheng Ho last Sunday.

The man in his 50s claimed he found his vehicle missing from where he had parked it at about 10am.

According to him, he had no other option but to park at that spot as there were no other parking spaces available in the church compound.

The estimated value of his 4WD vehicle was about RM70,000.

In another case, a 54-year-old mechanic reported losses of about RM20,000 following a theft at his farm house.

The man staying in Kampung Tabuan Ulu, Jalan Chawan Timur is said to have a farm at Mile 16, Kuching-Serian road.

He claimed that about 12pm on Sunday when he arrived at his farm, he found the zinc roofing of his house, wooden poles, plywood sheets, electric wire, fans and some other building material were missing.

He was clueless as to who could have committed the theft.

Both cases have been reported to the police and they are investigating.
