PBB youths compete in football tourney

MIRI: A total of 12 teams took part in the Datuk Fadillah Yusuf Trophy football tournament at Miri City Council football field yesterday.
The PBB youth teams are from Lawas, Limbang, Telang Usan, Marudi, Bekenu and Senadin.
State Assemblyman for Lambir Ripin Lamat kicked off the tournament, which was organised by Bekenu PBB youth for Zone 9.
“Through the tournament we hoped to build closer rapport among PBB members,” Ripin said in his speech.
A dinner will be held at Parkcity Everly Hotel Miri on today for PBB members taking part in the championship.
In last year tournament, the PBB Lawas youth emerged as champion.
