Madrasah Salihiah case set for re-mention on March 7

ALOR SETAR: The High Court here yesterday set March 7 for the re-mention of the suit filed by the Madrasah Salihiah committee in Kancut to stop the state government from demolishing the madrasah.

Deputy registrar Ooi Sheow Yean made the decision in chambers to enable all quarters to update their affidavits.

The writ of summons was filed on Jan 5 by the committee deputy chairman Jamludin Murad on behalf of the other members of the committee through Messrs Ahmad Rusydi Md Nor & Partners.

The Kedah Islamic religious Council (MAIK), the Kota Setar District Land Administrator and the Kedah government were named as the first, second and third defendants. — Bernama
