TAWAU: The younger generation have been urged to join the clubs of their choice and become successors so that the clubs could function longer.
District Capital Club (Qun Yit Se) outgoing president Datuk Soon Thien Fook said a society club would not be able to continue without the participation of the younger generation.
Soon said Capital Club Tawau was launched about 70 years ago and expressed his gratitude to all the committees and members for their support to the club.
He also hoped they could continue to serve the club and perform well in order to achieve the objectives.
He was speaking during their annual general meeting (AGM) held at their hall here yesterday.
“The older generation would not be able to serve long and I hope the youngsters would be enthusiastic to join the club,” Soon added.
He hoped everyone would work together as a team towards the stated goals and missions.
