Tornado hits Indonesia, kills five

JAKARTA: A powerful tornado has ripped through the Indonesian islands of Sulawesi and Sumatra, killing five people and damaging properties.
South Sulawesi and North Sumantra provinces were hit by the storm Friday evening, the National Agency of Disaster Mitigation said.
98 houses, schools and several local government office were damaged, China’s Xinhua news agency quoted Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, head of the agency’s data centre, as saying. – BERNAMA
