23 make it to Miss Oriental selection night

KOTA KINABALU: Another ten gorgeous looking girls have also made it to D Junction Miss Oriental selection night on March 28.

They were selected during the second preview held recently. They will join 13 other girls who were earlier selected during the first preview.

Altogether 23 contestants will be vying for selection on March 28, and those selected will compete in the semi-final round which is scheduled for April 5.

The semi-finalists preview night with Burlesque theme, will be held on April 20 and the grand finale on the night of April 27.

Miss Oriental aims to promote local modelling talent in the fashion industry on modelling run-way show and exposure in beauty pageant.

The winner will receive grand prizes in the form of RM5,000 in cash with tiara, sash, trophy, a flower bouquet and certificate.

The first runner-up will get RM3,000 in cash, and second runner-up RM1,000 in cash. Both of them will also get tiara, sash, trophy, a flower bouquet and certificate.

Apart from that, there will be six subsidiary titles to be won – Miss Cheong Sam, Miss Popular, Best Catwalk, Best Personality, Miss Photogenic and Miss Body Beautiful – all titles carry prizes of RM500 with sash, trophy and certificate each.

D Junction is the main organiser of the event together with Marketing Events consultant Telca James and catwalk choreography of Boyd Petrus Pensin.
