BINTULU: Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia and its distributor Jimisar Group of Companies has officially opened its fourth 3S (sales, service, spare parts) centre here yesterday.

The centre spanned 5,500 sq.ft and the investment totalled RM2million. Located at Phase 6 of Parkcity Commerce Square, the centre has an exhibition room, reception area, maintenance workshop, discussion area, delivery area, and a customer lounge.

It will provide full service for its customers all under one roof. This includes the sale of vehicles, service and supply of spare parts to owners of Mitsubishi vehicles here.
Chief Executive Officer of Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia Tetsuya Oda said the opening of the new 3S centre would bring growth, excellent achievement and strong commitment to the Jimisar automotive business.

“Since 2008, Jimisar has sold almost 1,700 Mitsubishi vehicles. We are delighted to have Jimisar as a long-term partner in providing services in the growth needs of Mitsubishi Motors to customers in East Malaysia,” he said at the opening ceremony.
Meanwhile, Jimisar Automotive Sdn Bhd group managing director Datuk Ismail Salleh said the opening of the Mitsubishi Motors new 3S centre in Bintulu represented another important and historic event for the company.

“It will provide us with a platform to give the best service to our customers.

“This is the fourth 3S centre in Sarawak, in addition to the one in Kuching, Sri Aman and Sibu which also provide vehicle sales, maintenance services and spare parts under one roof.”

He said the 3S centre here was the main area of business activities in line with the company’s vision to provide experience and satisfaction to all motorists, especially involving Mitsubishi Motors after-sales service.

“We believe the potential market for Mitsubishi Motors vehicles in East Malaysia is bright, especially for Triton pickup, Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) ASX compact and Pajero Sport SUV. So far, the average sale per month in Bintulu is about 20 units.”

He said they were confident that with the new 3S centre opened, the sales and services would increase by at least two times as they would be providing better services to meet the needs of their customers.

Malaysia Mitsubishi Corporation business division motor team manager Tomohisa Ono, Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia chief operating officer Ali Mohamed, Jimisar Automotive Sdn Bhd group director Datin Wong Abayah Ilam and Jimisar Automotive Sdn Bhd executive director Andy Ismail were among those present at the event.
