CATCH THEM LIVE: Janice and The Supertank.

KUCHING: Victoria Arms, the award-winning happening English pub at Merdeka Palace Hotel & Suites, is ready to rock the Malaysian music scene with a special performance by ‘Janice And The Supertank’ (JATS) tomorrow.

Victoria Arms has always been known to support local groups and working with this band is going to be a great collaboration in support of local musicians.

The band is led by Janice Yap, a versatile vocalist and songwriter who had won ‘Best Solo Performance — Vocals for Malaysia’s Boh Cameronian Arts Award 2007’ as well as the winner of ‘Best Song Composition for Battle of the Bands 2005’ and ‘Malaysian Revival Songwriting Competition 2006’.

Her numerous compositions range in various styles from folk-acoustic, rock, pop, r&b, dance, jazz, funk to soul.

Other band members are Ramizu (drums), Skaloot (bass) and Naj (electric guitar).

This amazing band had come up with an album entitled ‘And You Know It’ — concept of pop and acoustic.

Their hit songs are ‘And You Know It’, ‘Kau Di Mindaku’ and ‘Lottery’. The songs in the album are quoted to have ‘light-and-simple’ approach, a very ‘soothing’ mode and could be closely depicted to jazz.

The live show starts at 9.30pm. Admission first drink is RM25 nett.
