KUCHING: A woman cried rape after she was found lying on the ground near a carpark building, not far from Jalan Khoo Hun Yeang early yesterday morning.
The 26-year-old from Sadong Jaya was spotted around 1am by Abdul Rasyid, 28, who was dating his girlfriend when he heard a woman call for help.
According to him, both he and his girlfriend came across a woman whose jeans were partially unzipped, and she told them she had been raped.
He said the woman appeared to go into a seizure and was foaming from her mouth, prompting him to dash to the nearby Central Police Station to ask for help.
An ambulance was called to send the woman to Sarawak General Hospital where she was admitted.
A source disclosed that the victim was a few weeks’ pregnant and had bruises on her body as though assaulted.
It was however unclear at the time whether the woman had been raped, or was a victim of an attempted rape, as she had yet to fully relate what had transpired prior to her being found.
