MUKAH: Juara Cahaya Sarawak Sdn Bhd yesterday re-enforced its presence here by launching Mukah Biotech Economic Zone (Phase II) project in conjunction with Pesta Kaul Mukah at Pantai Kala Dana here yesterday.
In a press statement, Juara Cahaya stated that the project was a continuation of Mukah New Integrated Administrative Centre (Phase 1), built in relation to the Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy (SCORE).
The project, which cost about RM180 million, straddles on a 40-acre site. It is a joint-venture between Land Custody and Development Authority (LCDA) and Juara Cahaya Sarawak Sdn Bhd. Its site is in the vicinity of Menara Pehin Setia Raja building – the tallest landmark in the division.
Mukah Biotech Economic Zone comprises 100 units of shop offices with modern internal and external wide design, double frontage and ample car parks. The vast parks, boulevard and fountain give inspiration to visitors from near and far.
In conjunction with Kaul Festival this year, Juara Cahaya Sarawak takes the opportunity to inaugurate Phase II of the project. This soft launch serves to expose to the public the development plan which is going to be implemented in Mukah town, the company said.
“It is our hope that the people will benefit from the implementation of this project, and hope that all plans will succeed,” said Juara Cahaya Sarawak Sdn Bhd managing director Dato Shahrizal Md Ishak when showing Chief Minister Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud and his wife Ragad Kurdi Taib around the company’s booth here yesterday.
Mukah MP Dato Sri Dr Leo Michael Toyad, Minister of Welfare, Women and Family Development Datuk Fatimah Abdullah and the company’s director Datin Elly Zalilah Md Yusof were also present.
