BANGKOK: Four soldiers and four villagers including a three-year-old child were injured in a bomb attack in Thailand’s southern Narathiwat province on Tuesday, Thai News Agency (TNA) reported.
The bomb attack took place on Tak Bai-Taba road in front of a cemetery in Ban Taba village of Tak Bai district.

Police said an improvised explosive device possibly weighing seven kilograms was detonated with a communication radio when a patrol from Narathiwat Task Force 36 was passing by on their vehicle.

Witnesses told police that prior to the explosion, two people arrived on a motorcycle at the scene of the bomb attack and placed a black bag believed to contain the explosive device on a cart in front of the cemetery. –Bernama
