Lawas archery team hits bull’s eye

SARIKEI: The Lawas archery team lifted the Datuk Dr Judson Sakai Tagal Challenge Cup after they emerged overall champions in the team’s category of the 14th Sarawak Outdoor Archery championship held here from April 20-24.

Lawas were champions in the Men’s and Women’s Compound events, second runners-up in the Men’s Recurve event and first runner-up in the Women’s Recurve and Mixed Recurve events.

In second place was Terengganu after winning the Men Recurve and Compound Mixed team events, first runner-up in Women’s Compound and second runner-up in Men’s Compound event.

Kuching Indoor Archery Association team who emerged champions in Women’s Recurve and Mixed Recurve events and first runner-up in Men’s Recurve event occupied the last podium finish.

Prizes were presented by Secretary General of Sarawak Archery Association, Chong Yap Jin and President of Sarikei Archery Association (Pemasa), Ling Hau Ching.
