KUCHING: JX Nippon Oil & Gas Exploration (Malaysia) Ltd is sponsoring RM30,000 for the upcoming Borneo Jazz 2012 to be held in Miri from May 11 to 12.
According to the company’s managing director, Akira Tanaka the sponsorship is part of its contribution towards the international event which can attract tourists to Sarawak shores.
“We are proud to be associated with such an international event and to play our part in contributing to tourism to the State…we wish Sarawak Tourism Board all the best for the Borneo Jazz 2012” he said during the sponsorship handing over ceremony held the company’s office at Wisma Interhill, Miri recently.
On hand to receive the sponsorship was Sarawak Tourism Board’s corporate communications director, Angelina Bateman at a simple ceremony at its office at Wisma Interhill, Miri.
The two-day event is just a few weeks away and there are already an interesting lineup of performers who are will be performing for all local and foreign jazz lovers.
