JOHOR BAHARU: Police are looking for three men, of foreign nationality, to assist investigations into several gang-robbery cases reported in Johor.

State police chief Datuk Mohd Mokhtar Mohd Shariff identified them as Rahman Amri Shapeah, 30, Satri Hurip, 38, and another only known as Sofyan.

The three men were wanted to assist police investigation into armed robbery cases reported in Parit Raja and Ayer Hitam in Batu Pahat, as well as in Segamat and Muar, he told reporters after launching the MPV patrol programme at the Johor Police Contingent headquarters.

He urged those with information on the three men to contact the nearest police station.

In another development, Mohd Mokhtar advised those intending to participate in the ‘Himpunan Tanah Rakyat’ gathering at Plaza Angsana here this Saturday to respect the law.

He said police would monitor the gathering, being organised by a movement known as Gabungan Tanah Rakyat (Tanah).

“Having the fundamental right does not mean we are free to do what we like,” he added. — Bernama
