MIRI: The people in Sibuti have been reminded to turn a deaf ear to Radio Free Sarawak.

Sibuti MP Ahmad Lai Bujang likened Radio Free Sarawak to a virus which must be avoided by the people.

“Radio Free Sarawak is a virus which must be avoided by the people.

“This is because the radio is meant to mislead its listeners by disseminating false information and spreading malicious lies that could jeopardise racial unity and harmony,” he stated when met at his office here yesterday.

Ahmad Lai said, because of the evil that is Radio Free Sarawak, the people should never take information obtained from them as their reference point.

“This Radio is being used by the opposition as their election weapon.

“It is one of their strategies to fish for votes in the coming general election, which will be called anytime now.”

On the recent Bersih 3.0 rally, Ahmad Lai said it was one of the opposition’s strategies to topple the BN government through instigations.

However, he believed the people were now matured enough in making rational judgements.

Ahmad Lai believed the people had started losing their trust in the Opposition.

On Sibuti, he reiterated that BN would not have any problems in retaining the seat in the coming general election.

He said Sibuti had been labelled as a “white area” because most infrastructure, water, electricity, and roads needed in the constituency had already been addressed by the government.

Following the drastic transformation of development landscape in Sibuti, he opined that there was no reason for the people to support the opposition which was only good at paying lip service.

Ahmad Lai added that the BN was putting a lot of focus on Sibuti as it wanted to turn Sibuti into a rural growth centre.
