Status of applications for SPM graduate study programme out

KUALA LUMPUR: The status of applications to Universiti Malaya (UM) and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) for the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) graduate study programme, or equivalent, was posted from yesterday.

Meanwhile, the outcome of applications to Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) will be available from noon today, according to press statements from the three universities.

Checks can be done through the websites http://www.um.edu.my/kemasukan, http://www.ukm.my/kemasukan/tawaran and http://www.smp.upm.edu.my/tawaran for the Science Foundation and Islamic Studies Foundation programmes at UM, Smart Foundation Programme at UKM and Agriculture Science Foundation and diploma studies in UPM.

Successful candidates can check the offer information and print the official offer letters through the respective Institutions of Higher Learning (IPT) websites for making confirmation within seven working days from today until May 15.

The date for registering new students for the Smart Foundation Programme of UKM is on May 23 from 9am until 11am, the Science Foundation and Islamic Studies Foundation programmes at UM on May 27 while the Agriculture Science Foundation programme on May 17 in UPM, Serdang and for the diploma studies, on June 7 at UPM, Bintulu Campus.

Those who are unsuccessful can submit appeals through the e-Rayuan application within 10 working days following the posting of the results of successful applicants at http://upu.mohe.gov.my. The closing date for the appeal through e-Rayuan is on May 18 and the outcome will be announced in the second week of June, 2012.
