KOTA KINABALU: Ten-year-old Nersha Chang was crowned as the ‘Little Miss Kaamatan Wawasan Plaza 2012′ yesterday.
Nersha, a Primary Four pupil of SJKC Lok Yuk, said after the crowning she was pleased with the prize she won.
She added that this was not the first time she participated in a beauty contest, and that she has won several similar titles in the past in other competitions.
“I enjoy taking part in beauty contests,” she said, a bit shyly, to members of the media.
Clad in a traditional Murut costume that was specially ordered for the event, Nersha resembled a Murut princess.
She won a trophy and a voucher worth RM100.
Meanwhile, the second and third prize winners were Celine Wong, 9, and Anagha Pillai, 6. They won a trophy and vouchers worth RM80 and RM60, respectively.
The fourth and fifth prize winners were Mandy Lai and Edvira Wong.
The event was organised by the Wawasan Plaza Shopping Complex management together with VS Events Management.
