‘Master creative arts to boost income’

LUNDU: Rural women are urged to take up creative crafts to generate income and be competitive.

Additional income can be generated if these women are diligent, disciplined and capable of facing current and global challenges, said Special Functions Minister Tan Sri Datuk Amar Adenan Satem.

Adenan was represented by the Chief Minister’s Political Secretary Bujang Helmi Hazmi at Santubong Women Creative Craft Programme for Tanjong Datu held at Kampung Sekambal recently.

The programme was participated by 30 women from 14 villages around Tanjong Datu area.

Meanwhile, organising chairperson Fatimah Abdullah said the success of the programme was due to the commitment of those involved.

Also present were Tanjong Datu Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) deputy branch chief Abu Seman Karim and State Women’s Bureau director Norjanah Razali.
