KUCHING: Sarawak Progressive Democratic Party (SPDP) Women’s wing aims to continue to reach out to voters during the election campaign.

Its chief Chiew Yen Chiew said the section would identify and customise programmes for mainly the rural areas and carry out many touch base programmes in support of SPDP party candidates and other BN component parties candidates.

At its exco meeting last Saturday, it was agreed that these efforts will begin now instead of after the election announcement, including detailed preparations for the upcoming general election for all the four Parliamentary constituencies.

“In the midst of all the election preparation, our committee members have not forgotten their task as mothers or women or our their social obligations to our members,” said Chiew in a press release made available yesterday.
