SANDAKAN: 1Malaysia Notebook repair centres will be expanded to other main cities in Sabah, said the Malaysian Communication and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) deputy director for Sabah and Labuan, Aaron Tan.

He said the first such centre was opened in Kota Kinabalu recently to repair notebooks.

“The centre is opened following complaints from recipients regarding damaged notebooks. Any repair work is done for free,” he said when met after distributing Notebook 1Malaysia in the Libaran parliamentary constituency by its MP, Datuk Juslie Ajirol, here yesterday.

At the ceremony, 1,200 recipients comprising members of the public and students were issued notebooks.

He said currently, people from outside Kota Kinabalu, facing problems with their notebooks, could contact their vendors at the address given on the notebooks while for students, vendors would come to take the damaged notebooks at their respective schools when notified by their schools. — Bernama
