House buyers turning to sub-urban residential areas for purchases

KUCHING: House buyers today no longer turn down residential estates in sub-urban areas, thanks to the availability of good road systems.

The overwhelming response to Country View Estate 2 at 12th Mile, Jalan Kuching-Serian here is solid proof of the positive development of road connectivity in the Padawan area, with half of all the units having been sold since its launching.

Tedfar Realty Sdn Bhd, the developer of the new housing estate, said in a press statement recently that the good response showed the change in attitude of house buyers in considering housing estates in sub-urban areas.

The housing estate is located about five minutes from Kota Padawan and is 1km away from the headquarters of the state Road Transport Department.

It is situated near schools such as SJK Chung Hua Batu 10 and SMK Penrissen and other buildings such as banks and commercial centres.

Country View Estate 2, which is expected for completion next year, has adopted a contemporary and modern housing style to suit the demand of today’s house buyers.

“More importantly, house buyers do not need to worry about flooding as the housing estate has a strong foundation,” the company said.

Country View Estate 2 comprises a total of 49 units — six units of double-storey semi-detached priced from RM463,000, 34 units of double-storey terraced (priced from RM290,000) and nine units of single-storey terraced (priced from RM235,000).

Apart from that, the nine shop lots of Moyan Jaya 2 at Jalan Batu Kawa-Matang are now open for sale. They are priced between RM590,000 and RM690,000.

Moyan Jaya 2, which comprises 122 houses, is also a Tedfar Realty Sdn Bhd project. Phase 2 of the residential area has to date sold more than 90 per cent of its unit.

The price of the double-storey terraced units range between RM290,000 and RM405,000 while double-storey semi-detached units are priced from RM426,000.

Meanwhile, for house buyers who prefer detached houses, they can consider Beautiful Garden at Field Force Road, also developed by Tedfar Realty Sdn Bhd.

The detached houses here are priced at RM790,000 each.

A few semi-detached and double-storey terraced units are still available. The semi-detached units are priced at RM580,000 while the terrace units range between RM380,000 and RM480,000.

Beautiful Garden, said the company, is a five-minute drive from the 3rd Mile commercial centre and MJC. It is also near to schools and other facilities.
