In the latest break-in, the association was said to have lost about RM10,000 worth of gym equipments and weights close to some 400kg. Hii said the gym had been broken in thrice within a span of three years and urge the police to beef up patrols in the vicinity of that area concerned.

According to him, the association had done its level best by reinforcing the main door of the gym but the reinforcement works had also failed to detect the culprits.

“For the sake of our athletes, we need to have sufficient equipment in our gym,” he said while suggesting for the available empty space below the main stage of Sibu’s stadium to be converted for the relocation of SAAA’s gym.
