KUCHING: It was a shocking sight for a Kampung Muhibbah resident yesterday when he looked out his bedroom window and saw his younger brother hanging from the ceiling next door.

The resident, identified as Nasir, 30, said he woke up around 7am and was getting dressed for work when he glanced out his window to the house next door, where his two younger siblings were staying, and was stunned to see the lifeless body of his 26-year-old brother through the bedroom window.

He immediately informed his other siblings and relatives, who live in the same village, of what he had seen before notifying the police.

Police later transported the body of the deceased to the Sarawak General Hospital mortuary, and have classified the case as sudden death pending the post-mortem result.

Another sibling, meanwhile, revealed the deceased, a seafood restaurant worker, had previously mentioned that he was facing problems, although he had never specifically said what those problems were.

In an unrelated incident, a 19-year-old girl was admitted to the Sarawak General Hospital after she allegedly slit her wrist at her house in Petra Jaya.

The teen, who was said to have been upset over a relationship, was found by her brother in her bedroom and was rushed by her parents to the hospital around midnight yesterday.

She is reportedly in stable condition following the incident.
