Delegates from Beijing impressed with eperolehan

KUALA LUMPUR: Delegates from Beijing Municipality is impressed with Malaysian government’s electronic procurement system, the ePerolehan, especially its direct payment to supplier feature, as it is not only saves time but also economically effective.

“We never thought of paying our suppliers directly into their bank accounts through our system.

“This feature is simply brilliant,” said Zhu Yan, Deputy Secretary General at Beijing Municipal People’s Government, in a statement issued by Commerce Dot Com Sdn Bhd (CDC) yesterday.

CDC, a homegrown e-commerce provider, was granted the exclusive right to implement and operate ePerolehan.

The eight-member delegates visited ePerolehan Unit recently to compare various electronic procurement and electronic government initiatives implemented by Malaysia.

Their visit to the unit was hosted by Datuk Shukor Ibrahim, Electronic Procurement Project Director
