First I thought it was low clouds or water vapor from the neaby sea mixed with automobile exhausts which again contains CO2, SO2 and water vapour.
Now I am reading that this is the smog and smoke from the burning of peat and forest in the Central Sumatra in Indonesia, blown by the SW monsoon winds.
If that is the case, Indonesia should take steps to contain and put out these fires.
