KUCHING: Kuching A booked a berth in the semi-finals of the Sarawak Inter-Division tennis championship after thrashing Kapit 4-1 in the quarterfinals held at the Sarawak Lawn Tennis Association (SLTA) centre yesterday.
They will meet PTBS A in today’s semi-finals after the latter saw off their opponents from Sibu by a similar margin.
The other semi-final is between PTBS B and Betong who edged Bintulu 3-2 and Kuching B 3-2 respectively.
In the losers’ pool semi-finals, Kapit will face Miri while Kuching B will take on Bintulu.
More than 60 players from ten teams are taking part in the annual championship organised by SLTA and hosted by Kuching Division Lawn Tennis Association.
The singles competition of the Sarawak Closed will commence tomorrow.
