READY TO ROCK: The evergreen local rock and rollers, Elvince, Elges and Harrisman.
KUCHING: A Gawai Dayak closing ceremony with a difference is on the cards here come Saturday (June 30).
Three of the city’s Elvis and Cliff Richard impersonators will be putting up a joint performance for a Classic Night cum ‘Ngiling Tikai’ at Sapphire Executive Lounge here starting 8pm.
According to a press release yesterday, the three are Elvis of Sarawak title holder Wilfred Vincent Ragam alias Elvince and Elvis of Kuching title holder Ges Barundang alias Elges and A Harrisman, the Cliff Richard of Sarawak.
Both Elvince and Elges will gyrate and swing to the popular hits of the late king of rock and roll while belting out his numbers and donning Elvis’ attires in the three eras of the 50s, 60s, and the 70s while the evergreen A Harrisman, will spice the evening up with popular songs like ‘Living Doll’, ‘Move It’ and ‘The Young Ones’ to name a few.
Apart from appearances in Kuching and other Sarawak major towns, both Elvince and Elges have done gigs in KL together with other EP acts from the country’s capital.
A Harrisman was just back from a recent performance in KL while Elvince was quoted as saying that he will be performing at Magellan Resort Hotel in Kota Kinabalu from Aug 24 to 25.
Entrance tickets at RM30 a piece are available at the entrance to of the lounge.
