SIBU: Entry forms for The Borneo Post (BP) Run 2012 on Aug 25 at Sibu Town Square Phase I, will be published in all the three sister dailies of KTS Group of Companies – The Borneo Post, Utusan Borneo and See Hua Daily News – effective July 1.
Participants for the run can use the newspapers cutting or photocopy the forms.
Completed forms together with entry fees should be submitted to See Hua Marketing at 40, Tunku Osman Road, Sibu.
Forms may also be downloaded from the Borneo Post online at www.theborneopost.com.
KTS Group of Companies deputy managing director Temenggong Vincent Lau reminded those interested to look out for the newspapers advertisements.
“Grab the opportunity and there is always a chance that you can become the next champion of the BP Run,” he said at a press conference here yesterday.
Lau said the run was held as an event to mark the KTS Group of Companies 50th anniversary celebration.
The run is divided into six categories – Men’s and Ladies’ Open, Men’s and Ladies’ Veteran, Boys’ and Girls’ Junior.
All runners will run a distance of 10km, starting from Sibu Town Square Phase I to Bujang Suntong, Tun Abang Haji Open Road, Awang Ramli Amit Road, Sg Antu, RTM roundabout and back.
It is open to all, foreigners alike.
Lau invited the runners to register early as complimentary T-shirts will be given away to the first 500 early birds.
“To avoid disappointment, register early and get the T-shirts free,” he said.
For the prizes, the champion will get RM300 and a trophy, the first runner-up gets RM200 and a trophy and the second runner-up, RM150 and a trophy.
The fourth prize is RM100, and the fifth prize, RM80.
Those in Men’s, Ladies’, Boys’ and Girls’ who returned 6th to 30th will each bag RM30 while in Men’s and Ladies’ veteran, only those who returned 6th to 10th will get the RM30.
Entry fees are RM10 for Men’s & Ladies’ Open and Men’s & Ladies’ veteran and RM5 for Boys’ and Girls’ Junior.
The closing date is Aug 13 by 3pm.Runner’s numbers may be collected at See Hua Marketing at 40, Tunku Osman Road any time between July 9 and Aug 13.
The run will start at 7.45am for all categories.
