Two men die after bus rams into 4WD vehicle

CYBERJAYA: Two men died after a RapidKL bus beat the red light at a junction of Persiaran APEC, here and rammed into a four-wheel-drive vehicle around noon yesterday.

In the incident, the driver of the four-wheel-drive, Foo Hong Kam, 55, died on the spot due to severe injury on the head, while the bus driver, Ismail Ahmad, 54, died in the emergency ward of Putrajaya Hospital due to injuries on both legs.

Sepang deputy police chief, DSP Zaldino Zaludin said initial investigation found that the bus that was heading to Limkokwing University from the Persiaran APEC had grazed the left side of the four-wheel-drive which was heading to the Persiaran Multimedia, before both vehicles skidded to the side of the road.

The bus had also crashed into a motorcycle which was on the Persiaran Multimedia heading to Persiaran Tasik, he said, adding that the rider however only sustained minor injuries.

It was understood that a closed circuit camera, nearby the incident had recorded the incident, he said. — Bernama
