MIRI: The use of information communication technology (ICT) has made children more interested and responsive to learning.

In fact, the application of ICT as a teaching aid is one of the packages in the national education policy in line with efforts to transform the education system, said Deputy Education Minister Dr Mohd Puad Zarkashi.

“We noticed that they are more creative and brave in their communication when using ICT in their learning programmes,” he said after visiting two classes at SJK(C) Chung Hua Krokop here.

Impressed with the positive development, Puad said: “The school is among schools in the country that implemented ICT and I noticed the project is very good and suitable,” revealing that the school was one of the two in the state and 36 in Peninsular Malaysia covered by the ICT project.

“We are currently carrying out the national education dialogues and the last one will be carried out in Johor Bahru on July 15,” he added. Saying to date they had conducted 17 such dialogues, he pointed out among the objectives was to increase ICT usage among students.
