Boy demands DNA test to prove girlfriend wrong

SIBU: A 16-year-old-boy stormed into the police station here on Monday demanding that a DNA test be conducted on him after a 13-year-old girl claimed that she was bearing his child.

He told the police he wanted to prove himself clean, saying he never had an intimate relationship with the girl.

He admitted that he had taken the girl out on a few occasions at night to Sibu Town Square, where they stayed close and in an intimate way, but they never had sexual intercourse.

The girl said she was six months’ pregnant while the boy claimed that he had not known her for that long. Both are students.

The boy lives somewhere at Permai Road while the girl at Mile 8, Oya Road.

Apparently, the boy was the first person to know that the girl was pregnant. The girl has not told her family of her situation.

After the boy took the girl to the police station, the police contacted her family, who were shocked to hear of the pregnancy.

The police have meanwhile taken both the boy and the girl to the hospital.

Meanwhile, the police found the stolen motorcycle of a pensioner after they arrested a man at a longhouse in Rantau Panjang on Monday following a public tip off.

The pensioner lives at a flat in Teku Road. The motorcycle was reported stolen while he was jogging at the stadium near the flat in the morning of June 27.

His motorcycle and two others were parked outside the flat. Though not taken away the two other motorcycles had signs of the ignition key holes tampered with.

The pensioner lodged a police report the same morning.

Yesterday morning, the police called him to the police station to identify his motorcycle.
